The resources of Alumasc Technical Services are available to advise on all aspects of selection, specification, and integration into the overall building design. Alumasc Waterproofing Systems are installed as a specialist subcontract. Alumasc provides a fully comprehensive and seamless package of advice and hands on management backup on a project basis, extending through site installation to warranties and maintenance schedules. Implementation is led by the Alumasc Waterproofing Manager appointed to the project.

General technical support available to contractors, specifiers and building clients includes:


  • Advice on choice of product or system best suited to the project
  • General advice on Alumasc technical and performance data
  • Advice on interpretation of Building Regulations and other Statutory requirements in relation to the intended application
  • Advice on specific product applications and assistance with product detailing for awkward situations

Project specific technical support can include, depending on the project parameters:


  • Thermal calculations
  • Wind loading analysis
  • Condensation analysis
  • Calculation of drainage requirements in terms of flow and falls
  • Detailed written specification (to NBS format if required)
  • Full project specific CAD working drawings
  • Health and Safety COSHH datasheets
  • Product Samples

At the inception of a refurbishment project a fully detailed project report will be prepared, to include:


  • Evaluation of the general condition of the existing roof, based on visual inspection and appropriate field investigations, for example core samples, pull-out tests, condensation analysis
  • A fully detailed and costed recommendation for remedial works
